Il sito dell'abbazia venne progressivamente ripulito dalle case che lo parassitavano.
Gli unici edifici moderni sono oggi quelli della Marina Militare, ai piedi del semaforo, a ovest della chiesa abbaziale, e il grande faro ottocentesco, a est.
I ruderi dell'abbazia sono un accostamento di elementi di epoche diverse, testimoni delle successive ricostruzioni che hanno segnato la storia dell'abbazia.

Since 1998, major development work has been carried out.
The abbey site has been progressively cleared of the houses that were parasitizing it.
The only modern buildings today are those of the Navy, at the foot of the semaphore, west of the abbey church, and the large nineteenth-century lighthouse, to the east.
The ruins of the abbey are a juxtaposition of elements from different eras, witnesses of the successive reconstructions that have marked the history of the abbey.
