Questo è il santuario dedicato alla divinità locale della regione.
Il santuario è stato ricostruito nel periodo Edo e ha una lunga storia.
Si dice che sia stato costruito tra il 708 e il 714, dando a questo luogo storico quasi 1.300 anni di storia.
Non è un santuario molto grande, ma è stato costruito in armonia con il paesaggio naturale di Shirakawa-go e vale la pena visitarlo per sperimentare la sua atmosfera rilassante e augurare un viaggio sicuro.
Il santuario si trova un po' lontano dal villaggio di gassho-zukuri.
Gli alberi di cedro qui sono designati come monumento naturale del villaggio e conferiscono al luogo un'atmosfera mistica.
All'ingresso un torii (il portale di ingresso del santuario), un shimenawa (corda fatta con fasci di paglia di riso) e gli shide (dei fogli di carta dalla forma intrecciata usati durante i rituali shintoisti).

The shrine was rebuilt in the Edo period and has a long history.
It is said to have been built between 708 and 714, giving this historic place nearly 1,300 years of history.
It's not a very large shrine, but it was built in harmony with the natural landscape of Shirakawa-go, and it's worth visiting to experience its relaxing atmosphere and wish you a safe journey.
The shrine is located a little away from the village of gassho-zukuri.
The cedar trees here are designated as a natural monument of the village and give the place a mystical atmosphere.
At the entrance, a torii (the entrance portal to the shrine), a shimenawa (rope made with bundles of rice straw) and shides (sheets of paper with a woven shape used during Shinto rituals).
