ll Tempio E risale al 460-450 a.C. e ha una pianta molto simile a quella dei Templi A e O dell'Acropoli.
Il suo attuale aspetto lo si deve all'anastilosi (ricomposizione e reinnalzamento di alcune sue colonne) effettuata tra il 1956 ed il 1959.
Presenta un peristilio (lunghezza m 67,82; larghezza m 25,33) di 6 x 15 colonne (altezza m 10,19) con numerose tracce superstiti dell'originario stucco che le ricopriva.
È un tempio caratterizzato da diverse scalinate che determinano un sistema di rialzamenti successivi: una prima di 10 gradini conduceva all'ingresso sul lato E; dopo il pronao in antis un'altra di 6 gradini conduceva nella cella; e per finire un'ultima di 6 gradini dava accesso – in fondo alla cella – all'adyton; dietro l'adyton, separato da esso, vi era l'opistodomo in antis.

Temple E dates back to 460-450 BC. and has a very similar plan to that of Temples A and O of the Acropolis.
Its current appearance is due to the anastylosis (recomposition and re-raising of some of its columns) carried out between 1956 and 1959.
It has a peristyle (length 67.82 m; width 25.33 m) of 6 x 15 columns (height 10.19 m) with numerous surviving traces of the original stucco that covered them.
It is a temple characterized by several stairways that determine a system of successive elevations: a first of 10 steps led to the entrance on the E side; after the pronaos in antis another of 6 steps led into the cell; and finally a last of 6 steps gave access - at the end of the cell - to the adyton; behind the adyton, separated from it, was the opisthodomus in antis.
