Palazzo Reale - Sala delle udienze private
La Sala è una delle più preziose del Palazzo.
Da ammirare non solo il soffitto seicentesco e il pavimento in legno, ma anche il riallestimento voluto da Carlo Alberto che qui amava accogliere gli ospiti privatamente.
Sulla parete di fondo si trova il trono del sovrano.
Alle pareti, sulla ricca tappezzeria in velluto rosso e filo d’oro ci sono tre ritratti: a sinistra Napoleone III imperatore dei Francesi,
al centro Vittorio Emanuele II e a destra Carlo XV re di Svezia.
Nella Sala sono conservati alcuni regali preziosi fatti da
regnanti stranieri alla famiglia Savoia.
Sui tavoli a muro, i due vasi in porcellana bianca dipinta a Sèvres (Francia) con trofei di caccia e pesca e teste di stambecco in bronzo dorato sono un dono di Napoleone III a Vittorio Emanuele II.
Al centro, invece, la rara coppa in malachite arriva a Torino come regalo dello Zar di Russia.
Royal Palace - Hall of private audiences
The Hall is one of the most precious in the Palazzo.
To admire not only the seventeenth-century ceiling and the wooden floor, but also the rearrangement wanted by Carlo Alberto who loved to welcome guests here privately.
On the back wall is the king's throne.
On the walls, on the rich tapestry in red velvet and gold thread, there are three portraits: on the left Napoleon III, emperor of the French,
in the center Vittorio Emanuele II and on the right Charles XV king of Sweden.
In the room there are some precious gifts made by
foreign rulers to the Savoy family.
On the wall tables, the two white porcelain vases painted in Sèvres (France) with hunting and fishing trophies and ibex heads in gilt bronze are a gift from Napoleon III to Vittorio Emanuele II.
In the center, however, the rare malachite cup arrives in Turin as a gift from the Tsar of Russia.
