L’armonia e le proporzioni conferite ai nuovi spazi, i sontuosi decori di stucchi, cornici, lesene della Galleria Grande, erano destinati a rendere l’impianto scenico juvarriano un capolavoro dell’architettura di tutto il Settecento.
La Galleria, che collegava l’appartamento del re a quello dell’erede al trono, è uno degli ambienti più sorprendenti e spettacolari dell’intero complesso.
Anche le dimensioni della Galleria sono del tutto ragguardevoli con un’altezza al centro volta di circa 15 metri, una lunghezza di circa 80 metri ed una larghezza di 12 metri.
Durante l’occupazione francese il pavimento originario fu smontato e riutilizzato per la Galleria del Beaumont a Torino.
L’attuale, che riprende quello del disegno juvarriano, è stato realizzato nel 1995.

The harmony and proportions given to the new spaces, the sumptuous decorations of the stuccoes, cornices, pilasters of the Galleria Grande, were destined to make the Juvarra scenic system an architectural masterpiece of the entire eighteenth century.
The Gallery, which connected the king's apartment to that of the heir to the throne, is one of the most surprising and spectacular rooms in the entire complex.
The dimensions of the Gallery are also quite considerable with a height at the center of the vault of about 15 meters, a length of about 80 meters and a width of 12 meters.
During the French occupation, the original floor was dismantled and reused for the Beaumont Gallery in Turin.
The current one, which incorporates that of the Juvarra design, was created in 1995.
