Late Bloomer
Autumn is always a very busy time of year, so I will be taking a week or two off from Flickr to get my yard ready for Winter, my car ready for Winter and in the evenings taking it easy to watch Major League Baseball playoffs as well as the beginning of NHL Hockey. Go Blue Jays, and Go Oilers.
This was one of the last images I shot on that visit to Elk Island National Park. The sun had risen and broken through a bank of cloud making for some fairly harsh light. Here I have used a gradated mask to calm the brightly lit background land. Not the greatest overall shot, but I was actually after the Thistle plant in the immediate foreground that was a late bloomer.
Hopefully Flickr behaves for everyone. Last night was so frustrating as I would immediately get a bad panda screen every time I clicked on a thumbnail. I would have to shut down the browser and restart going back to Flickr and upon arrival back at Flickr would be shown the the page of the thumbnail I had clicked on previously. So frustrating. It did that for each image, taking me forever to comment on less than ten images. Hopefully it is straightened out upon my return.
See you all in a week or so.
