Framed VIII

Okay perhaps this one is a bit of a stretch when it comes to framing. You could say that the basic lit scene is framed by darkness, and there are multiple frames in the structure, but they are not really framing anything in particular. I just wanted to share this one. I have been on a real Monochrome kick and have been processing completely to what I think looks interesting, with little consideration for reality. Black and White is already an escape from reality, so along the ways the experience of being free to do what I choose has been a lot of fun.

This is one of the entrances to the hospital here in Lamont. It is the entrance I use when visiting my doctor. It would have been awesome if there was a person standing near the garbage receptacle perhaps on a smoke break with them visible in the reflection on the window on the right. Now I could have used a tripod and a self timer and acted as my own model, but it would be as far as candid as possible. Having said all of that, I still really like this. Oh and talking about a smoke break today is my second anniversary of quitting smoking. Still chewing gum, like it is going out of style and even vaping (non-nicotine) a few times a day, but not a single puff in two years. Still missing it, but I suppose cravings will never entirely go away. I think of myself as a recovering smoker rather than a non-smoker.

Tomorrow, back to some colour, but be prepared for more monochromatic images in the near future. I am getting hooked.

EDIT: Forgot to mention lens used was a petite and very lightweight manufal focus Zuiko 24mm prime. A real joy to use.
