'56 thunderbird
This one is dedicated to Mark Putman who lusted after a first generation (1955-1957) Ford Thunderbird his neighbour had, when Mark was a youngster.
Developed to compete with Chevrolet's Corvette, also a two-seater, it was designed and marketed as a personal luxury car as opposed to a sportscar.
Never having owned either, I know the Corvette was not known for comfort, but hey, I would love to have had either of them. This looks like it would be ideal in the heatwave we are currently experiencing, but I am not sure I would want to clean those wheels.
Too bad it was not Suzanne Sommers driving this T-Bird
