Egg on Forks
First off, I hope everyone had a nice Christmas.
Taken a while back now, it is a bit different for me, but certainly not original. I was inspired by a great image by Volker Hahlbeck; one of his egg on fork shots can be seen here... www.flickr.com/photos/189890556@N02/52163520191/in/dateta... You shold have a look at some of his pasta shots. Very inspirational.
I have no idea as to who was the original person to shoot this subject, but many people have done variations of of the egg balanced on forks, but tat the time I had only seen Volker' images, and after seeing them, I just had to give it a shot. Shot on my countertop with all sorts of stuff propped up for a background and lighting, using flashlights.
With winter upon us, I may try shooting other kitchen utensils. I have done so in the past years ago and it can be quite fun. A vegetable steamer, a whisk, pretty much anything can make for interesting shots if you play with them long enough.
