Sun's coming up at the Park
Well, I have come to the conclusion that I have turned into a wimp, or an idiot. It was only -8C with a bit of a breeze, (noticed much more at the top of the hill at my local park). I dressed well for the weather with the exception of gloves. I thought -8C...that is not too bad at all, and tried wearing a thin pair of work gloves (cotton with light leather on palm and inside of fingers). BIG mistake. My fingertips began to freeze by the time I got to the park.
I climbed the hill hoping to get some nice colour in the moon which was to rise minutes apart from the sun. Never did see the moon. Light was nice and golden, but I was only able to get off a few shots and in a hurry, as my fingers were burning. I should have known better, and will remember this next time I go out.
Not a whole lot to say about the image, but it does show how little snow we have left, and the "white" that you do see is crusted ice. Definitely a different scene for early January.
