Painting Class

This is an image of me working on a painting in my studio. Here, I notice a material that I am consistently touching is paint, which identifies me as an artist. I also notice about myself that I prefer to finger paint, touching my paintings first hand to eliminate the disconnect that comes when a paintbrush interferes between the artist and the art piece. This photo is also from my selfie album. I noticed my love for art comes from my family of creative minded people who encouraged me to follow a path that makes me truly happy, rather than choosing the major that makes the most money. I was raised coloring and painting and creating art because my grandpa loved art and woodworking and my mother loved painting and pottery.
