The Elizabeth Tower

Renamed this year after its refurbishment in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, this Tower was formerly called St Stephen’s Tower although often called Big Ben, which is in fact the name of the bell which tolls the hour. In the background is Westminster Abbey and the statue in front is Boudicca and her daughters at the western end of Westminster Bridge across the Thames.
