For this photo, I used portrait design to create a sense of emphasis and movement through out the photo to meet the project goals. With the ball moving upwards, your eyes follow from the body to the ball in the air. I also created a sense of emphasis by making almost everything darker and the basketball more orange.
When I was planning to take this photo, I told my brother to walk in front of me and throw the ball up into the air. I stood there and took multiple pictures to get a bunch of different pictures where the ball was in the air. I wanted to emphasize the basketball because my brother has loved basketball since he was 2, and he had to give it up because of school and still to this day loved to just go outside and play around.
Overall, I think I did well on the concept of this portrait and how it portrays my brothers life.
If i could go back and re-do, I would take the picture at a different angle and use different lighting so the ball is more focused and not so much its surroundings.
