Wiscombe Park Hill Climb DAY 2 06/06/21

DAY 2 At Wiscombe Park and after a Very Busy Day Yesterday with Drivers all heading out for Practice and their First Timed Runs it was time for the Real Battles against the Clock to Begin.

During the Sunday Morning it was slightly Damp resulting in the Track being a little Wet and so care had to be taken around the Track to ensure that Everyone Stayed on Four Wheels as they made their way from the Bottom of the Hill to the Top.

As the Afternoon Arrived Weather Conditions began to Improve but then Quickly Clouded over again but at Least the Track was no Longer Damp resulting in much more Grip for the Drivers as they all went out for their Second Runs.

Some Noticeable Contenders Out there were (Robert Woods) in his Lotus Cortina Styled to look like the Famous Lotus Cortina Raced By Jim Clark in Pre 66 Touring Cars.

His Fastest Lap Time was a (52:47) Very Impressive and a Beautiful Example of Racing History. Another Driver Looking to be Competitive at The Wheel was (John Le Men) in his Escort MK1 Creatively Named Kermit Due to it's Green and Black Livery which Looked Stunning. His Fastest Time of the Day a (52:81) Very Quick Indeed and would definitely give old Kermit The Frog a Run for his Money.

Finally (Steve Harris) in his Austin Mini took to the Hill and set a very Respectable Time of (52.74) Showing that even the Small and M imightyMini can take on the Bigger Boys of Both Ford and Lotus. The Day began to Draw to a close and after the last se of Runs for each Class had been Completed Everyone hook up their Trailers and Camper Vans and left Drawing the Weekend to a close with Many Winners.

Its Good to see that everyone had fun and A very Enjoyable Weekend.

Compliments to the On Site Catering Truck and Chiefs too for some Fantastic Food thought the Weekend.

Congratulations to all of the Sprint Victors in each Class Looking forward to it again Next Year.
