Korea City Story
And here is her story to this picture.
Elo: "Birdie, birdie, you fly far away, you know everything, tell me the story of Sungnyemun Gate?"
Birdie: "I fly far away, I know everything, I will tell you.
Four Great Gates (Sukjeongmun, Namdaemun, Dongdaemun, and Seodaemun), established by King Taejo in 1396, Sukjeongmun is called the North Gate. Located to the north of Seoul, this gate, with Gyeongbokgung Palace in the center and Changaemun (Jahamun) to the right, make up the wings of the north gate. It is an important landmark of South Korea's Namdaemun Market.
Sungnyemun Gate was the place of national ceremonies and events for rain-stopping and rainmaking by the king when the kingdom suffered from heavy flooding or drought. Unfortunately, the fortress walls were demolished during the Korean Empire era."
