Chief Hospital Corpsman Emmanuel B. Essienete considers leadership to be the most successful skill he has gained in his 18 years of service. Essienete, 36, was born in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria, and moved to Los Angeles when he was 18 years old. He is currently the Navy senior enlisted leader for the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
