Halfling Faction Lord: Sheriff Thorpe Thumblefoot
Sheriff Thorpe Thumblefoot:
Halflings are tricksters by nature, always looking for a good prank to pull so that a nifty giggle can be had. Whether it be pickpocketing goods from traveling merchants or swiping ales at the local tavern, these diminutive beings can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves.
This, of course, invariably leads to many halflings getting caught in the act and sent to the town hall to spend a night with the Sheriff. No halfling in their right mind would want to be the Sheriff, for punishing the little tricksters is a tedious job. But alas, there has to be one, and so that leads to an election. Only the most dour and sour folks are elected to become the town Sheriff, because the people would not punish one of their own joyous and happy folk with that miserable job.
Thorpe Thumblefoot might be the most cantankerous and dour Sheriff to have ever held the post. Known well throughout the lands of the halflings for his stern and scowling visage, Sheriff Thumblefoot is tough with a cudgel and merciless with his punishments. Whether it be scrubbing the lord’s hillhouse, or cleaning the town streets, the punishments Thorpe doles out are feared by all but the bravest of young folk.
Sheriff Thorpe Thumblefoot, rather remarkably, has a talent for battle strategy. On the rare occasions that the halflings do go to war, Thorpe is relied upon for his scrutinizing war tactics and quick reactions to enemy movements. Wielding his favored blackpowder gunstick, Mr. Thumblefoot directs the many different types of troops that the halflings can provide.
