Laser Pointer Chase - Her FAV
My born-deaf bulldog loves to chase flashlight beams at night, so I picked up a laser pointer at the dollar store one day. It's insane, it's HANDS DOWN her favorite activity, she'll chase this intently for HOURS. It's been great for keeping her well-exercised and alert.
I've tested this on my other dog and on a bunch of my friend's dogs.
They either zero in and love it immediately or ignore it altogether.
One interesting commonality I've discovered is that dogs whose owners report that they "watch" TV, who pay attention cognitively to the TV-such as reacting to a dog who is onscreen- every single one of THOSE dogs actively engaged in chasing the laser light.
