How to Enter information of Individual Employee for State Payroll Tax
Every company has many employees from different states. There is no matter that how you set up the default tax settings for all of your employees. QuickBooks payroll system allows you to customize the information of state tax for every employee. QuickBooks will employ all these tax information when you will write a pay cheque for your employees
If you are newly user of QuickBooks payroll systems then follow below steps to understand that how to make entry of state payroll tax information for individual worker or employee.
Open the Employee Centre
Go to the Employees tab, if necessary
If that name of employee is already exist on the list then click twice times on the name of employee
Move at the Change tab and open drop-down list and choose Payroll and Compensation Information
Move at Taxes button and choose State tab
In the State worker window open drop-down list of States and choose state name from where your employee belongs
If the respective employee is subject matter to the State Unemployment Insurance then click on the checkbox of State Unemployment Insurance. If the respective employee is subject matter to the State Disability Insurance, then click on the checkbox of State Disability Insurance
In case of state withholding, move on the withholding section under State Subject and select the name of state from drop-down list of States. From where the employee is subject matter to state withholding.
Now, enter the status of filing and other respective information for state withholding, which you collected from employee.
Do any one of the following options:-
Select either the Federal tab or other respective tab to enter other tax information.
If you have no more information about tax then click on the OK button to move on the New or Edit window of Employee.
