Op de voorgevel van het voormalig postgebouw (1953) staat sinds 1963 een monumentaal plastiek in brons, van de Gentse beeld-houwer Jozef Cantré (1890-1957).
"De Communicatiemedia of Eenheid van de wereld door de Telefonie, Telegrafie en Postverkeer".
Het beeld symboliseert "de vier wereldrassen" rond een overvleugelende beschermgodin.
Depuis 1963, la façade de l'ancien bâtiment de la poste (1953) est ornée d'une sculpture monumentale en bronze du sculpteur gantois Jozef Cantré (1890-1957), intitulée "Les moyens de communication ou l'unité du monde par la téléphonie, la télégraphie et le trafic postal".
La statue symbolise "les quatre races mondiales" autour d'une déesse gardienne éclipsante.
