Revell - HO Service Station 1962
Every toy and hobby company has started design work and development of new products that never make it into production. Despite the fact that some of these new items are announced at industry trade shows, appear in consumer advertising and even show up on the packaging of other items in the line, disappointing initial orders and other factors can kill the proposed product before it reaches the retail shelves.
Revell actually produced their own line of HO trains for a few years. Besides the powered locomotives and rolling stock, they had a series of finely detailed building kits and accessories. This Service Station would have been the next kit in the series if the entire line hadn’t been dropped.
