Monogram - Masters of the Universe Attak Trak 1983
Monogram produced unassembled plastic kit versions of three Masters of the Universe vehicles in 1983 and 1984. The kits were the same size as the original Mattel toys, so the action figures could be used with the completed models.
Each kit was available in two color combinations. The parts for each kit were all in one mold. So, all the parts would be molded in one color, then everything would be molded in a second color. The parts were then divided into two halves, A and B, and packed out so that 50% the kits got the A parts in the first color and the B parts in the second color. The remaining 50% of the kits got the reverse color combination, A parts in the second color and B parts in the first! And yes, some collectors sought both versions.
