The house behind mine has been untenanted for several years, and its off-kilter, mismatched window screen and tilting ladder often catch my eye as I clean up the horse corrals in my back yard. The slowly deteriorating house has become marked by slanting lines, by objects tilting sideways from their accustomed upright positions. Here the shrub and tree branches seem to be reaching out, pulling the ladder and screen askew, somehow aiming, with a kind of intention, to take the house back from the linear world around it and return it to nature's pleasantly chaotic state. Or maybe I just have a vivid imagination :-)
Camera: Vivitar 220/SL (circa 1976, with Mamiya/Sekor 135mm f/2.8 lens).
Film: 35mm 100 ISO Arista.edu Ultra, developed in Arista Liquid Developer for 6:30 minutes @ 70 degrees, scanned with an Epson V600 scanner. The image was cropped from a horizontal format to a vertical one.
