Amtrak at Chaney Jct
Running right on time, the eastbound Sunset Limited rolls through Chaney Jct just west of Downtown Houston.
The junction features several searchlight signals from when this was all run by the SP, and for now they are not under threat. That being said, searchlights at Eureka to the west fell earlier in 2024 and searchlights at Niles Jct to the east have replacements up. These won't be around for too much longer.
Update as of Summer 2024: The Vader signal to the left has been replaced with a new one, and there are new replacements up next to all the searchlights at Chaney Jct. They have yet to be activated.
