Tripling Over at Tower 26
With more than 13,000 ft of train in tow, UP 6366 charges the air after tripling-over out of Englewood Yard in the far distance.
Much has been written about UP's troubles with running their own trains (and Amtrak) on-time since their full-on adoption of PSR. This here is a prime example of UP shooting themselves in the foot. While charging the air in its 2 & a half mile long behemoth, this train is blocking all mains west of Englewood, plus the north-south mains of the important Houston West Belt at the signals a few cars behind the head-end. As Keith Creel said of UP and resulting oft-delayed KCS trains, "you can’t let your ambitions get ahead of your physical plant".
