You're on the Wrong Track, Buddy...
Although normally the westbound Sunset Limited takes the former SP from Beaumont to Houston, on this day UP sent the train west on the former MP (a normally eastbound line used by #2). Due to the alternate routing into Houston, the train rejoined UP's Houston Sub (the ex-SP) here at Maury Street, requiring a backup move into the Houston Amtrak depot. Under normal circumstances the train would be on the far track to the right of the train.
Also, due to the ongoing Coronavirus travel slump, the train is only running with 5 cars and there appeared to be more Amtrak employees on the train than passengers.
