There is something challenging about planning & putting together a star trail image that I immensely enjoy.

 

I don't see many photographers posting these types of images and I suppose it's because you have to stand out in the cold-dark night for a couple hours. Myself, I enjoy the alone time and the results are always pretty freaking cool. For all the conspiracy minded flat-earthers out there, this could prove the earth is round.
