Amtrak's new 50th anniversary Phase I unit, P42 #161, leads the westbound Sunset Limited, sprinting into Crosby on UP's Houston Sub.
To improve fluidity on this congested portion of the Sunset Route, an 8-mile long "second main" (IOW, parking lot for UP's 15k foot Louisiana-Houston manifests) is being installed between Dayton and here at the east end of Crosby siding.
