Golden Ballerina
The story of this ballerina is that she is the daughter of a nobleman, and her whole life has been dictated by what the high society has been expecting of her. Finally, at a masquerade ball, holding a mask in her hand, she realizes: this mask was a representation of her own facade, created by the rules and fake values of her society. After all her suffering, all her silent hoping, she finally breaks free, free from these invisible binds that hold her trapped. She breaks the mask and, watched by stunned and wide eyes, she disappears.
In the center of the ballroom floor only pieces of a broken mask remain, and over them, petals of gold-and-ruby roses.
