Štrba. yes, Štrba.

Štrba, Slovakia.

Another place and place I can tick off my To Do and To Visit list. I had booked two nights in an apartment not far from the station, even though I had my hammock with me. It was mid-June and it was deserted, not yet high season, fortunately.

I have a series of photos ready about my adventures there. The famous photo point from above with a view of the Tartra mountains is very beautiful but I longed and hoped to really be able to do "my thing" there, around the station of Štrba, which was the starting point for me and eventually the photo subject in itself without realizing it at the time, I let myself drift along with the camera and these are the images I made there.

I start the first evening, upon arrival and check in I walked to one of those two very famous photo points to see for real why all of Europe and beyond goes there to take a picture of a train. I thought it was neat, like in the photo. After trying the local cuisine and approving it, we went to the station at dusk...

The station has 4 tracks and there is always something to experience or see or discover... the peace and quiet is also very pleasant... a series ZSSK 131 with a loaded iron ore train is just entering the station and will stop to release the pusher locomotive.
