Originally called “La Calavera Garbancera”, it was created by Guadalupe Posada and Baptized by the muralist Diego Rivera.

It’s one of the main figures used on November 2, better known as “The Day of the Dead” in Mexico, and one of my favorite Mexican celebrations.
