The representation of feminility in art is a universal study and Cristina Iemmi with her paintings has given her own personal interpretation.
Her women are sensual, fluid but also meditative, almost surreal. Through her eyes the observer is able to capture an unreal description of her images, revealing a beauty that permeates a sense of ' mystery".
What is striking is her singular observation of the women she portrays, which artistically speaking are all different but disclose a version of the female world from various angles.
When I asked Cristina why women, she replied that the female figure adapts well to the various facets that can transform themselves in appearance through form and colour, like a dress with a hidden soul.
Women are ironic and multiform and hers are impalpabile, visionary, non existant.
