Gimme Five - IMG_7304 - Edited
Some detail shots of the current-issue "Series G" Bank of England £5 note, introduced in 2016, which is printed on a polymer material for extra resilience to wear and tear, and to make it harder to counterfeit. Other anti-counterfeiting measures include transparent sections with holographs, metallic imagery, textured print, microlettering, and EURion constellations.
The £5 note features a portrait of famed wartime prime minister, Sir Winston Churchill by artist Yusuf Karsh on the reverse side, and a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse side.
The Series G note measures 125 mm wide by 65 mm high.
