Another year, another round of updates for cars. The latest news about 2019 lineup changes from Mercedes-Benz.
For the upcoming year, Mercedes-Benz has a long list of changes coming to the new luxury cars. Because of this long list, the press release is dense with information and I want to break it down as easily as possible for you all. So here’s the breakdown, direct from Mercedes:
“Third-generation CLS debuts new coupe style plus in-line six-cylinder turbo powertrain with EQ Boost and 48V electric system

That’s quite the list. The most popular of these changes has to be the new G-Class design, as well as the new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe.

New engine, 48V electrical system, fully variable all-wheel drive, larger brakes and more equipment features: the Mercedes-AMG E 53 Sedan. The centerpiece of the new E 53 Sedan is the electrified AMG-enhanced 3.0L in-line 6 Turbo Engine with EQ Boost featuring an electric auxiliary compressor. The in-line 6-cylinder engine generates an output of 429 hp and delivers a peak torque of 384 lb-ft which is supplemented with an electric EQ Boost starter generator. The cylinder in-line engine generates 429 hp and delivers maximum torque of 384 lb- ft. Its EQ Boost starter-alternator momentarily provides an additional 21 hp of output plus 184 lb-ft of torque and furthermore feeds the 48 V on-board electrical system. Other technical highlights include the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and the fully variable all-wheel drive system AMG Performance 4MATIC+.

Introducing new variants for 2019: E 450 4MATIC & all-new AMG E 53 Sedan
New engine, 48V electrical system, fully variable all-wheel drive, larger brakes and more equipment features: the Mercedes-AMG E 53 Sedan. The centerpiece of the new E 53 Sedan is the electrified AMG-enhanced 3.0L in-line 6 Turbo Engine with EQ Boost featuring an electric auxiliary compressor. The in-line 6-cylinder engine generates an output of 429 hp and delivers a peak torque of 384 lb-ft which is supplemented with an electric EQ Boost starter generator. Other technical highlights include the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and the fully variable all-wheel drive system

The new E 53 Coupe & Cabriolet models combine powerful performance with sporty style and high efficiency. At their heart lies a new, electrified 3.0-liter engine featuring an exhaust gas turbocharger and an electric auxiliary compressor. The cylinder in-line engine generates 429 hp and delivers maximum torque of 384 lb- ft. Its EQ Boost starter-alternator momentarily provides an additional 21 hp of output plus 184 lb-ft of torque and furthermore feeds the 48 V on-board electrical system. Other technical highlights include the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and the fully variable all-wheel drive system AMG Performance 4MATIC+.
