Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx
I've been debating what to get either Oregon 400t or GPSMAP 60CSx? I tested both unit at REI recently. I like the IPOD Touch like feature of Oregon 400t which makes it really easy to use, its performance to date is still questionable though. The screen backlighting is really poor when viewed at direct sunlight, Garmin needs to improve this, whereas the 60CSx is time tested, from its fast acquisition of sattelite signal to longlasting battery life. Screen display is viewable in any condition and way cheaper than the MSRP of $549.00 for Oregon 400t. I got my 60CSx for only $279 shipped. So it's no brainer the older but more realiable garmin model is the winner for me.
