Dad's Army Statue, Thetford
Dad's Army was a British television sitcom about the United Kingdom's Home Guard during the Second World War.
It was (and still is) very popular and ran from 1968 to 1977. Re-runs are often see on TV's round the world.
Much of the exterior shots were made in and around the town of Thetford in Norfolk.
Such is the enduring popularity of the series that a statue of the character "Captain Mainwaring" was erected in the town in 2010.
It's a good likeness. Sadly almost all the actors from the series have now died - only Private Pike - Ian Lavender - remains but the series lives on in fond memories of many.
