Camera Obscura 3
I really struggled with this project.
First of all, I struggled to get any type of Obscura happening, and once I did I felt that the whole thing was kind of lacklustre.
The colours were dull until I got into editing the photos, and now the aesthetic is slightly unnatural and hyperrealistic, which in this case I don't particularly like.
I struggled to create a focal point in my photos, that's why I opted to do more close-up, staged images because the wider shots lacked anything to draw the eye and my close-up shots muddied the already quite muddy projection.
I appreciate the light trick, but overall I dislike this project and will most likely not be taking it any further, but if I were I would use a human subject (other than myself) to create a focal point in my images. I would probably use another house entirely, maybe one perched on a hill that receives a lot of sunlight and that would project an amazing view.
