Snake's Head Fritillary (Fritillaria meleagris) 2023-04-04. Parc Slip, Aberkenfig, South Wales.
A slightly earlier than usual appearance of this particular flower than previous years. Especially as the early spring flora seem to be generally later in 2023 for our locality. Possibly due to a colder February and a very wet March.
