Planet Mars 2020-10-07 02.29.21 UT
Aberkenfig, South Wales
Lat +51.542 Long -3.593
Skywatcher 254mm Newtonian Reflector, Tal 3x Barlow Lens, ZWO ASI 120MC Astronomical Imaging Camera.
Out of 8200 frames about 2400 processed with Registax 6
Colour contrast on albedo features and final levels adjusted with G.I.M.P.
Image size scaled up by 150%
The seeing conditions not at their best but were occasionally fairly good. Drifting cloud and an intermittent moderate breeze did present a challenge during captures.
The target was about 39° above the horizon at the time of capture.
The Syrtis Major, Mare Tyrrhenum, Mare Cimmerium & Hellas Basin are clearly visible.
