Summer Solstice Sunrise. 2017-06-21 04.21 UT 20ºC Very little breeze. Numerous contrails.
A view from Pandy Park, Aberkenfig, South Wales.
Lat +51.542 Long -3.593
An extract from my 2017 weather observation archive. A balmy 20ºC at dawn.
Image captured with a tripod mounted compact camera and cropped in final processing.
Having a look at this again I am still quite pleased that I captured a grainy, a bit fuzzy and less than perfect image rather than nothing at all.
As it stands, it is the the most recent Summer Solstice sunrise I have recorded. Just another reminder and a memory to savour.
A big thank you and well done to the bird that gave me a little bit more to add to this small but precious moment in time.
I wonder if it is still flying around today and will it find itself captured in a similar moment.
Hugh, April 6th 2023.
