Astro Runner
Stunning Sunflower M63
Data from two nights, 4/2/21 and 4/3/21, Raindrop Lane. 540 subs, 10 seconds each, gain 300, temp -20 C on 4/2/21. On 4/3/21: 19 subs x 3.5 min, gain 120 and 4 subs x 9 min, gain 120. Note that 3.5 min subs were recommended settings via SharpCap's "brain" analysis tool for greatest dynamic range. The 9 min subs were given by the "brain" as optimum when using unity gain.
I processed the 10 second data first. The calibrated stacked master from that data was essentially identical to the calibrated stacked master when adding in the longer exposure data. So the longer exposures surprisingly did not seem to add anything new.
Also, -20C is a tough temperature for my camera to sustain unless the external environment is already near freezing temps. Indoors the cam is not able to maintain this temperature.
The image is stunning. Pleased with it for sure. I may re-shoot this with an IR cut filter once the adapter is obtained.
