DXB 5108 leads DC 4058 and 4323 on train 126 approaching Wellsford

The DX class was built by General Electric's Erie, PA plant and entered service from 1972. From 1988 the DX class received a series of modifications and with new motors and Brightstar fitted were classified DXB and DXC. 126 is the only train traversing the scenic and rustic North Auckland Line to Whangarei in daylight.
