Approach to Jenkinsburg
NS 282 begins to slow down after taking an approach signal at Bunch to meet 372 at Jenkinsburg. Leading is Sonic Bonnet 4001, one of the first two DC-to-AC conversions that NS completed to extend the life of their older locomotives, hence the special paint scheme that it wears. The 4001 was also famous for being involved in a wreck in 2017 that resulted in the locomotive landing on its side. The engine was eventually rebuilt by the Juniata Locomotive Shops in Altoona, PA in 2020 & it has been running ever since. 2-7-21
