Upper Linville Falls

Upper Linville Falls, North Carolina and No.3 from my trip.

 

Being that much smaller, the upper falls at Linville get a lot less attention than the main falls. And, probably like many people, I was in a hurry to get to one of the main overlooks and only spent a few minutes here.

 

But when I processed the photos I was struck by the beauty of the upper falls. The two side-by-side drops make for a slightly awkward composition, but with the upper falls you can get that much closer and explore in a way you can't with the main falls. This is one I'd definitely like to revisit.
