Hypnotized by Beauty
Friday evening, the fog a mist that had been my companion all day cleared from Mt. Baker but lingered in the valley below. It felt like a mid-summer's night dream in the afterglow of the setting sun-flowers, snowcapped mountains, beautiful rocks, clouds, fog and the colors of sunset-what more could one ask for? The long hike out on a steep trail in the dark was far from my mind as I was hypnotized by all this mesmerizing beauty that seemed to last one hundred years.
