First Order Lego
Howl's Moving Castle
Inspired by Studio Ghibli's movie "Howl's moving castle" and Hayao Miyazaki's ever inspiring creativity I built the moving castle. For those who don't know what it's about check out the movie trailer here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwROgK94zcM
I've watched quite a few Ghibli movies and always wanted to do something related to them. And when I saw that Innovalugs "Style it up" contest challenged us to have the MOC being held up by only 4 studs the idea of a floating castle in the sky immediately came to mind, but I though most people would be doing that so then Howl's castle popped in my mind. Even though it's not your typical castle it's still mighty cool. I'd warmly recommend watching the movie, even if you are not into animated stuff I'm 90% sure you'll love it.
Build wise this was one of the most difficult MOCs I've made. So many weird angles, small details and odd shapes. I've used a bunch of weird pieces to accomplish that. I also used over 20 leg pieces for a specific contest involving iron ;)
I'm personally quite happy with the build, but if I was building it again I'd change quite a few things from the start. That's all, thoughts and feedback always appreciated!
