Planets conjunction
A few days after the conjunction we had a clear night that gave me the opportunity to have a go at capturing the conjunction of the planets and a glimpse of part of the milky way. I used a LED worklamp to light up the dinghy in the foreground. The light area on the right is from the Waikuku street lights. Going by my Sky Guide app the bright planets seen from bottom right going up are: Venus, Jupiter, and Mars. Neptune being a very dim planet is barely visible halfway between Jupiter and Mars. The bright spot further up near the top of the image is Saturn.
This is a 2 x 3 image panorama. Images denoised and pre-processed in DxO PhotoLab. Stitched and final processing was done in Affinity Photo.
