Toned

Bracknell Camera Club Treasure Hunt Theme (June) - Toned - well I'm working on it. This was quite a challenge as I couldn't persuade anyone to model for me. I focussed on the wall in front of me and then just brought it back and flicked to manual mode. Ideally I had wanted an 'invisible black background' Glyn Dewis style and I guess I didn't do too badly since that wall is white. (ISO 100 F11 and 1/125 to keep in sync with my flashgun which was also in manual mode). I took multiple shots moving my off camera Speedlite around to attempt to mould some definition without my forearm becoming completely burn out. I'm very new to any form of studio photography and still have a lot to learn so this was a valuable exercise. The final photo had the flashgun coming in from the side at elbow level but glancing my back and I moved it further away to the side to avoid overly bright areas so hence the darker shadows. I should add that I now have over developed muscles in my left arm compared to my right. ;-)
