UP GP40 660

Union Pacific Railroad GP40 660 at Cotter, Arkansas on December 11, 1992, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This was the last revenue UP train out of Cotter, the next day the rails would belong to the Missouri & Northern Arkansas Railroad. The actual last UP train to leave Cotter was on the next track, a train of welded rail. The UP had busied itself stripping welded rail off the line before the M&NA took over. The gentlemen pictured ( left to right ) were: G. E. Flippin ( Engineer ), Roy Deckard ( Brakeman ), and Randy Smith ( Conductor ).
