There`s rather a lot not to like about RP 20 heading north up Park Lane towards Marble Arch on 1 June 1982.
We all know that London Country went through some difficult times in the late 1970`s into the early 1980`s and it`s fair comment that an RP would be better than no bus at all if a newer vehicle that should have been available wasn`t.
But from an image point of view it`s not a great reminder. Running along in service with the door open was a definite no no back then. A temporary blind is better than a hand written bit of paper and whilst panels of different colours, no fleet name and missing wheel trim are cosmetic failings of less concern than a bus missing from service, i can`t see any legal lettering which i thought was a requirement.
